Nicosia’s new free bus service gets underway

The new “Park & Ride” bus service – enabling drivers to park at the GSP stadium and take a bus ride to Nicosia town centre free of charge – has gotten underway.

The new service, a joint effort by Cyprus Public Transport (CPT) and the Transport, Communications, and Works Ministry, will run from Monday to Friday, from 6am until 4pm. It will offer frequent and consistent urban transportation, especially during peak hours, transporting passengers from the GSP Stadium to Nicosia's city centre, stopping at Kalispera Lights, Limassol Avenue, and Makarios Avenue.

During peak hours, services are expected to run every 10 to 15 minutes, and at other times, every half hour.

Motorists opting for the "Park & Ride" service can park their vehicles at the GSP Stadium free of charge and enjoy a complimentary journey to and from the city centre.

A new bus lane has been created at the entrance to Nicosia to facilitate the route.
