The Mall of Cyprus to introduce parking charges from 1 September

Τhe Mall of Cyprus is introducing controlled parking in what the popular shopping destination describes as a move "to make better use of the available parking space and to serve its visitors more efficiently."

According to an announcement on Τhe Mall of Cyprus' website and social media accounts, the new automatic, paperless Sensipark system will be implemented from 1 September.

"All visitors will be entitled to 2 hours FREE parking from their arrival time at the Mall of Cyprus. At the end of their visit, they will drive their vehicle to one of the exits of the parking area and if the duration of their visit is less than 2 hours, the parking barriers will automatically open to exit the parking area," the announcement notes.

It goes on to say that if the duration of the visit to the Mall of Cyprus is for more than 2 hours, the payable amount will automatically be calculated according to the duration of the visit, and will be displayed on the payment terminal located that the exits of the parking lot. "The payment process for visitors will be quick, intact and easy! After the payment has been processed, the parking barriers will automatically open and the visitor will be able to exit," The Mall of Cyprus announcement elaborates.

How it works:

• Your car’s license plate number and the time of arrival are recorded by the system as soon as you enter the parking space.
• At the end of your visit, drive your car to one of the exits of the car park.
• If the duration of your visit was less than 2 hours, the parking barriers will open automatically.
• If the duration of your visit was more than 2 hours, the payable amount will be displayed on the payment terminal screen.
• Present your Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay to the terminal and proceed to contactless payment. The parking barriers will open automatically.

Up to 6 Hours €3.00

Over 6 Hours €15.00

* Additional charges may apply for overnight parking.

Visit to K-Cineplex:

Mall of Cyprus visitors who purchase a ticket at K-Cineplex are entitled to free parking for the day of the screening only. The validation of the free parking will be done at the K-Cineplex check-out with the presentation of the ticket purchased.

Visit to IKEA:

Visitors to IKEA are entitled to one additional parking hour free, with a purchase worth €10 or more. To get your free parking hour, get a validation code from the check-out at IKEA at the end of your visit, and input the validation code and the license plate of your car on the relevant tablet that you will find in the area after the check-outs.

The same process applies to people visiting both Mall of Cyprus and IKEA in the same shopping visit and making a purchase of €10 or more at IKEA.
