Strong participation in the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023"

The first "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023" is a fact, and those who have excelled will be awarded in September by the founder of the awards, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the Creator and Owner of the easy family of brands (visit www.easy.com & www.easyHistory.info) and the Founder and Chairman of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation (https://steliosfoundation.com.cy/).

The interest in participating in the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards, organised for the first time in Cyprus by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, has been impressive.

In total, 23 young entrepreneurs submitted their applications to the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023," competing for €60,000 (1st Prize €30,000, 2nd Prize €20,000 and 3rd Prize €10,000), which Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will award to the top three business ideas.

The Awards Ceremony will take place online on 12 September 2023, at 14:00. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will congratulate the three winners via Zoom. The three winners will be present at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation (Markos Drakos Street, Nicosia) and will have the opportunity to discuss with Sir Stelios and present their business proposals.

The application submission process ended on 14 July, 2023, and young entrepreneurs under the age of 35, of any nationality, who have established a company in the Republic of Cyprus within the last 5 years, participated.

The "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023" mark the first event of its kind on the island, mirroring the established awards in Greece, that have been running since 2008. The aim of the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs" is to become an institution in Cyprus, running alongside the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards, which have been honouring Bi-communal business cooperation since 2009 and will continue with the next award ceremony in March 2024.
