KIOS joins the ERTICO partnership

KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence has joined the ERTICO - ITS Europe partnership, aiming to facilitate and deploy smart mobility solutions in Europe and beyond.

KIOS CoE is a leading research and innovation centre in Cyprus and the region on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Introducing the new collaboration, ERTICO CEO Joost Vantomme said: “We are pleased to welcome a KIOS, a Cyprus body, to the ERTICO Partnership. Innovation is at the heart of what we do at ERTICO, and KIOS will bring an added value with their multidisciplinary research in ICT.”

KIOS’ expertise in ICT related to critical infrastructure monitoring and control, connected and autonomous vehicles, traffic congestion management, and cybersecurity in vehicles, aligns well with ERTICO’s mission to promote intelligent mobility in Europe and beyond.

KIOS Deputy Director, Prof Christos Panayiotou, said: “As an ERTICO partner, KIOS CoE can benefit from tailored co-funded project opportunities, get insights on market trends, have access to ERTICO’s range of exclusive services, broaden horizons with international collaboration, network with other mobility pioneers, and raise its scientific profile internationally. Through this partnership, KIOS CoE will bring research closer to industry, by developing and implementing innovative solutions to address today’s challenges related to transportation.”
