“We strive to offer outstanding working conditions, allowing our world-class talent to focus on what they do best while we do everything in our power to help them grow,” says Yiota Tsiokri, Human Resources Manager at Windsor Brokers.

With more than 220 employees around the world, Windsor Brokers is one of Cyprus’ longest-operating brokers, thanks to its 35 years of expertise in the financial services industry.

“We are an award-winning company whose vision is to empower people in pursuit of their financial goals,” Tsiokri says, adding, “To do that, we leverage the latest technologies and systems of governance, and make sure that our clients and team members are at the very core of our focus.”

To this end, employees are encouraged to pursue further development if they so wish. “We support them and invest in their career goals through professional development programmes and training. Of course, we also make sure that our employees are given opportunities to take on new challenges and responsibilities within their roles, and we offer guidance and performance evaluations along the way to help them,” Tsiokri explains.

She is quick to underline that all promotions and advancement opportunities are based on merit and that the company provides a supportive and inclusive work environment that enables its employees to reach their full potential and succeed in their careers.

“When new members join the Windsor team, they are introduced to our values and mission as part of a comprehensive onboarding process,” Yiota Tsiokri explains, adding, “We believe that having aligned values is key to fostering a supportive working environment and running a successful business.”

She also points out that the company’s corporate philosophy is to empower and let employees grow. All Managers and Directors have an open-door policy and regular check-ins are scheduled to make sure that employees know how much their contributions are valued. Understanding the importance of having a sense of belonging, Windsor Brokers has an Entertainment Committee, which organises events to boost confidence, show appreciation and create memorable experiences. Teambuilding and recreational activities are organised approximately once a month at departmental and company levels. “Being able to socialise in a more relaxed environment makes it easier to collaborate professionally and form solid work bonds,” she explains.

As part of its aim to ensure financial and professional wellness, meanwhile, Windsor also offers employees a 13th salary, discretionary bonuses, a Provident Fund, private healthcare and exclusive employee discounts.

“The financial wellness of our team is a non-negotiable priority for us,” the Human Resources Manager continues, noting, “We achieve this by encouraging professional development, career advancement and goal setting.” The company also provides access to financial management resources and workshops to help employees maintain their own financial stability and reduce stress.

Designed by architect Alexis Papadopoulos and interior architect Demetris Stylianides, the company’s premises also have an important role to play.

“Our offices are well equipped, we have free parking for all team members and a fitness room where employees can enjoy yoga and stretching,” she goes on. “We are also happy to announce the establishment of the brand-new Windsor Hub – a modern communal area of high aesthetics used for lunches, meetings, events and gatherings.”

When it comes to evaluations, Windsor Brokers carries out a company-wide satisfaction survey every two years. “This allows us to gain insights and valuable employee feedback, which we use as a compass to elaborate more on our strengths and make improvements where necessary,” Tsiokri says. “This year, for the first time, we will be participating in the Great Place to Work® Awards and we are confident that they will confirm Windsor as a top employer in the region.”

Windsor Brokers has a reputation for its friendly and caring culture, she tells GOLD. “Time and time again, our people tell us that working in a stable and secure company with a proven track record of 35 years gives them a sense of confidence.” The satisfaction surveys reveal a harmonious relationship between employees and management and show that team members enjoy the open and sincere work environment that Windsor fosters as well as the various CSR activities that the company undertakes with the aim of having a positive impact on the planet.

“In a nutshell,” Tsiokri notes, “I would say that to be in the presence of Windsor team members is, indeed, to be ‘In Good Company’!”
