IMH bringing The Grocer’s Managing Editor to 20th Cyprus Grocery Retail Conference

Expert speaker Emma Weinbren, Managing Editor of the UK’s prestigious The Grocer magazine, will be addressing the upcoming 20th Cyprus Grocery Retail Conference in Nicosia on 4 April.

Published since 1862, The Grocer is devoted to grocery sales and now also has a popular online presence.

In her address at the Conference, Weinbren will explain how the grocery retail sector can best engage consumers in the highly-coveted Generation Z age group. Generation Z, or Gen Z, refers to people born from the mid-to-late 1990s to the early 2010s.

Weinbren will explain how Gen Z is emerging with new habits and preferences as the younger generation uses different media, shuns traditional buying habits, and has higher expectations of food and drink brands. Her session at the Conference will look at how to appeal to this upcoming generation and secure their future spending.

Weinbren studied journalism at Cardiff University. She initially worked for a healthcare publication before following her passion for food and drink and joining The Grocer in 2016. Since then, she has held a number of roles including deputy news editor and food trends editor, and was promoted to managing editor in 2020.

Organised by IMH and presented by Alphamega Hypermarkets, the 20th Cyprus Grocery Retail Conference will take place at Hilton Nicosia from 8.30am on Tuesday, 4 April.
