Ministry announces national pavilion for “GITEX” expo in Dubai

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry (MECI) has announced that it intends to participate with a national pavilion in the GITEX GLOBAL Information Technology exhibition that will be held in Dubai, UAE, from 16 to 20 October 2023.

The ministry said that its participation – under the “De Minimis grant scheme to Cypriot companies for participating in services exhibitions abroad, in which MECI participates with a national pavilion” – aims to contribute towards enhancing the extroversion of Cypriot services companies, promoting the technology sector and in extent, increasing exports to both existing and new markets.

“Participants in the national pavilion will have the opportunity to promote their technologies, as well as to utilise the networking and business cooperation opportunities offered with both foreign exhibitors and professional visitors,” the MECI said in an announcement.

It is noted that if there isn’t a sufficient number of participating companies, the Ministry reserves the right to withdraw its participation from the Exhibition.

The Application and Informational Guide for the “De Minimis” grant scheme are only available in Greek and can be found below. Applications may be submitted by hand or by registered mail or by private courier until 29 March 2023. Any applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
