President to meet Von den Leyen, Michel and Metsola Wednesday

President Nikos Christodoulides will have his first meeting with European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday, ahead of the European Council meeting.

EC Chief Spokesperson Eric Mamer announced the news on Monday during the Commission’s midday press briefing in Brussels.

Citing sources, the Cyprus News Agency reported that the meeting will take place late in the morning to early in the afternoon, after the weekly meeting of the College of Commissioners.

President Christodoulides will arrive in Brussels on Tuesday, ahead of the summit of the European Council, and is scheduled to have a series of bilateral meetings before and during the summit.

Besides the EC President, Christodoulides will also meet with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, according to their official schedules.
