Total employment up 1.3% y-o-y in Q3

Total employment in Cyprus showed an annual increase of 1.3% in the third quarter of 2023, Cystat said citing provisional estimates.

In numbers, 481,321 persons were employed in Q3, of whom 431,870 employees and 49,451 self-employed.

The most significant percentage increases were observed in the economic activities of Administrative and Supporting Service activities, Other service activities and Accommodation and Food Services.

Actual hours worked in Q3 of 2023 are estimated at 216,986,000; an increase of 1.7% compared to the same quarter of 2022.
