First phase of €1.8m Nicosia General Hospital photovoltaic park complete by January

The first installation phase of a photovoltaic park at the Nicosia General Hospital will be completed on 7 January 2024, with the second phase expected to be completed in March.

According to a State Health Services Organisation press release, the new flagship project of the Nicosia General Hospital is being implemented with the installation of the photovoltaic park and the creation of covered parking spaces, which is part of the Organisation’s broader Strategic Plan.

It is added that upon completion, the photovoltaic park will have a capacity of 1.3 MWp, with the total cost of the project, which is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, amounting to 1.8 million euros + VAT.

It is noted that by focusing not only on providing quality health services to all citizens without exception, the Organisation is making its operation "greener" through the use of renewable energy sources for a better future.
