Total sales of petroleum products up 3.7% y-o-y in November

A total of 119,253 tonnes of petroleum products were sold in November, recording a 3.7% increase over the same month last year, Cystat said. Compared to October 2023 however, total petroleum sales dropped 8.7%.

In detail, there was a 25.8% year-on-year increase in aviation kerosene sales in November, as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil (28.4%), road diesel (6.6%) and motor gasoline (6%).

In contrast, a 17.4% decrease was observed in the sales of light fuel oil, asphalt (5.2%), heating gasoil (3.7%), kerosene (2.9%) and liquefied petroleum gases (1.5%).

Meanwhile, petrol stations registered a year-on-year increase of 4.5% to 56,282 tonnes in November.

When compared to October 2023, total sales of petroleum products dropped by 8.7%. Aviation kerosene sales decreased by 40.5% and the sales of motor gasoline by 2.3% while on the contrary, the sales of road diesel rose by 2.7% and so did the sales of heating oil (55.1%) and kerosene (88.6%).

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of November 2023 increased by 2%, compared to the end of the previous month.

During the period January – November 2023, the total sales of petroleum products marginally increased by 0.3%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
