Commissioner Kyriakides on official visit to Cyprus

EU Health and Food Safety Commissioner Stella Kyriakides will be in Cyprus on Friday, 6, and Saturday, 7 October to present the pharmaceutical strategy for Europe and the European plan to fight cancer.

A European Commission press release says the Commissioner, who is Cypriot, will visit Laniteio Lyceum in Limassol where she will talk to the students about her portfolio issues.

She will then travel to Nicosia to deliver the keynote address on the pharmaceutical strategy for Europe at the University of Nicosia at a conference on 'Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe: review of Pharmaceutical Legislation'.

Also, the Commissioner will deliver a keynote speech on the European plan to fight cancer at an event organised by the Pancyprian Federation of Women's Organisations (POGO).

On Saturday, Kyriakides will participate in the Europa Donna Pink Silhouette march, which is organised under her auspices in Nicosia. The march will start from  Eleftheria Square.
