These are the awardees of the 10th KEBE Business Leader Awards (pics)

Twelve business leaders in 10 different categories have been recognised at this year’s 10th KEBE Business Leader Awards.

The awards ceremony was held at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia on the evening of Monday, 30 October.

Recognising and awarding business excellence for the 10th year, the event was held in the presence of President Nikos Chistodoulides, government ministers, and other officials, as well as the crème de la crème of the island’s business world.

Twelve business leaders, all inspiring personalities of the local business scene, went up to the stage to accept their awards. They were recognised for their work and wider contribution to the development of the country’s entrepreneurship sector, its economy and, to the country in general.

The awards during the 10th KEBE Business Leader Awards were presented as follows:

  • "Primary Sector" (agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing)

The award in the "Primary Sector" (agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing) went to Antonis Kimonides, Owner, Managing Director, of Kimagro Fishfarming.

  • “Services Sector”

The award in the “Services Sector” went to Dr Christoforos Hadjikyprianou, CEO & President of the Council of the European University Cyprus.

  • “Financial and Professional Services Sector”

The award in the “Financial and Professional Services Sector” went to στον Marios Klitou, CEO of Baker Tilly South East Europe.

The award in the “Shipping Sector” went to Andreas Hadjiyiannis, founder of the shipping companies Cyprus Sea Lines Co. Ltd., Cyprus Maritime Co. Ltd., and Hellenic Tankers Co.

“Trading Sector”

  • The award in the “Trading Sector” went to the businessperson Pandora Tseriotis (P.M. Tseriotis Group).

The award in the “Construction, Property and Real Estate Sector” went to both the Co-Presidents of The Leptos Group of Companies, George Leptos and Pantelis Leptos.

The award in the "Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (ESG-CSR)" sector went to Polys Hajioannou, CEO, Chairman of the Board of Directors Safe Bulkers, Inc.

The award in the “Industry Sector” went to Dr Michalis Neoptolemou, CEO of Remedica.

The ‘Honourary award recognising work and contribution to entrepreneurship’ went to Platon E. Lanitis, Chairman, and Marios E. Lanitis, Executive Vice Chairman, of the Lanitis Group.
