Avoid protests, US Embassy advises its citizens in Cyprus

The US Embassy in Nicosia has advised American citizens who are in Cyprus to avoid large crowds and protests.

In a post on platform "X", on the evening of 19 October, the US Embassy writes that "we are closely monitoring developments in Israel and the Middle East, some of which have led to protests throughout the world, including in Cyprus."

"As demonstrations can be unpredictable, citizens in Cyprus are advised to avoid large crowds and protests," it adds.
