IN Business magazine's special edition featuring the 1000+ Largest Companies of Cyprus is out on Sunday, 8 November!

Recording the business power of Cyprus is a demanding process, as the market is constantly changing, creating new data, new perspectives, but also new challenges for businesses. In this dynamic environment, Greek-language magazine IN Business presents the ninth collection edition of the Largest Companies of Cyprus, a comprehensive guide that captures the scope and dynamics of Cypriot business through data, figures and business profiles.

This year's edition, which will be released on Sunday, 8 November, both on newsstands and in digital format, lists 1,168 companies, compared to 1,150 in the 2024 edition, confirming the continuous evolution of the country's business map. Since the first presentation of the institution, in 2012, with the 700+ largest companies, until today, the guide has significantly expanded its scope, establishing the listing of the largest business organisations as a reference point for the market.

Behind the collector's edition is an extensive research effort, lasting approximately nine months, in which a team of 20 journalists participated.

How was the list of the 1000+ largest companies in Cyprus compiled?

To capture the business reality of Cyprus, the market was first divided into categories and subcategories.

In fact, the 15 main categories and 64 subcategories organise the material in a way that facilitates searching and offers an overall picture of the business presence in Cyprus.

Basic criteria that companies on the list must meet include business activity in Cyprus, if not headquarters, annual turnover, which must be at least €2.5 million, as well as the number of employees in the country, which usually exceeds 40 people.

The comparison with previous editions highlights the changes taking place in the market. Companies are leaving, changing their scope of activity, transferring their operations or merging, while others are developing and strengthening their presence, claiming their place on the business map. Furthermore, younger generations are taking over the reins of organizations, foreign companies that have chosen Cyprus for relocation or expansion of activities are increasing significantly and entries in sectors such as professional services, finance and ICT are multiplying. These changes reflect both international economic developments and the particular conditions that shape the Cypriot business environment.

The publication is not limited to listing names and company data. It is complemented by thematic sections that shed light on different aspects of business activity: companies with a turnover of over €100 million , top employers with more than 1000 employees in Cyprus, Business Leaders to Watch and the top 10 companies listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange. In addition, 11 leaders are hosted in a one-of-a-kind interview, while 28 of Cyprus' largest employers reveal which job positions they anticipate they will need to fill with new hires in the future.
