Efi Chrysochou: “Loving what you do is the most important thing”

Efi Chrysochou, Executive Director of Cyfield Group, highlighted the importance of passion, creativity and personal fulfilment in building a successful career at the Inspire 2026 ‘Future of Work’ stage.

“From a very young age, I was always interested in construction,” Chrysochou said, recalling visits to construction sites with her father and her fascination with seeing projects develop from concept to completion.

Having studied architecture in the United Kingdom, she described the profession as combining two interests: “I always liked technical subjects, but at the same time, I loved art.”

Despite her family background, Chrysochou questioned whether construction was genuinely her calling. After working in London and completing an introductory business management course, she realised: “I am exactly where I should be, working in construction and creation.”

Discussing her executive responsibilities, she emphasised the satisfaction of transforming ideas into reality, developing alongside colleagues and delivering projects that improve people's everyday lives.

Offering advice to young professionals, Chrysochou encouraged patience and self-discovery, urging them to “give space and time to their imagination.”

“For me, the most important thing is to love what you do,” she said, explaining that professional fulfilment helps overcome demanding schedules, pressure and everyday challenges.
