The Secretary General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) Philokypros Roussounides, attended the EUROCHAMBRES Conference in Valencia, in the context of which a meeting of the Board of Directors of the leading European business organisation, which represents more than 20 million businesses, was also held.
As noted in a relevant post, the CCCI actively participates in the Board of Directors of EUROCHAMBRES, while Philokypros Roussounides holds the position of Vice-President of the Committee for Skills and Employment.
During the Conference, participants had the opportunity to hear the views of the Minister of Economy of Spain, the former Prime Minister of Italy, as well as important representatives of the European business community.
The focus of the discussions was on the competitiveness of European businesses, with particular emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises, the Omnibus initiative, the further strengthening of the Single Market and the proposed Union of Skills.
The CCCI is dynamically present in the European dialogue, conveying the voice of the Cypriot business community and contributing substantially to the shaping of positions and policies for the future of the European economy and entrepreneurship, Philokypros Roussounides states in a post.
