TechIsland’s FinPro Community is returning for its sixth meetup on 8 October 2026 in Limassol, bringing together finance, treasury, banking and payments professionals for an evening of practical discussion, networking and peer exchange.
The FinPro meetups have become a regular opportunity for professionals working across finance functions in Cyprus’ tech sector to step outside their day-to-day routines, exchange experiences with peers and discuss the issues they are dealing with in practice.
The format is deliberately informal: a focused panel discussion followed by networking over drinks and bites, giving participants the opportunity to continue the conversation, meet other professionals facing similar challenges and exchange ideas beyond the stage.

“Scaling Payments & Banking Infrastructure: Build, Buy or Both?”
As companies expand across markets, their banking and payments set-up often becomes increasingly complex. More jurisdictions, more providers, more currencies and more payment flows can also mean greater dependency, operational risk and fragmentation.
The panel will explore how growing companies can maintain the right banking and payments infrastructure as they scale, how to manage provider concentration and redundancy, when it makes sense to rely on external banks and PSPs, and when companies may need to build more capabilities in-house.
