Global e-commerce platform Temu collaborates with the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA), aiming to support the technology and business community of Cyprus, creating new opportunities for innovation, digital transformation and international growth.
As part of the collaboration, Temu will collaborate with CITEA on programs, events and actions concerning its network of member companies, contributing to initiatives that promote digital entrepreneurship and business development. CITEA, as the Cyprus Information Technology Association, will facilitate the interconnection of its members with Temu, highlighting opportunities for Cypriot businesses to leverage digital platforms, explore new markets and enhance their international competitiveness.
The collaboration comes to strengthen Temu's existing presence in Cyprus, where in 2025 it launched the Local Seller Program, offering eligible local businesses access to digital commerce opportunities and the ability to expand their presence to customers across Europe.
For CITEA, this collaboration reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the development and internationalisation of Cyprus' technology ecosystem, connecting its members to global platforms, encouraging innovation and creating new opportunities for Cypriot businesses to compete in an increasingly digital global economy.
“Partnering with a global leader in e-commerce, such as Temu, creates significant opportunities for our members and the wider business community in our sector,” said CITEA President, George Malekkos. “At CITEA, we remain committed to supporting Cypriot technology businesses to expand their reach, seize new digital opportunities and compete internationally. This partnership offers our members greater visibility and access to European markets, while strengthening Cyprus’ position as an innovative and extroverted technology hub.”
As part of the collaboration, Temu will also participate in local CITEA actions, aiming to directly connect with Cypriot entrepreneurs and companies in the digital business community. The collaboration aims to strengthen networking and synergies, support local entrepreneurship and highlight successful examples that demonstrate how Cypriot businesses can leverage digital tools and platforms to grow internationally. The two organisations will also collaborate on joint communication actions to highlight opportunities for local traders and businesses.
