The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of July 2026 increased by 14.3% compared to the end of the previous month, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Thursday.
In July 2026, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 146,656 tonnes, recording an increase of 1.3% compared to July 2025.
A rise was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene (3.2%), as well as in the sales of heavy and light fuel oil (166.9% and 20.1%, respectively), liquified petroleum gases (7.3%), motor gasoline (6.2%), road diesel (5.5%) and asphalt (4.4%).
On the contrary, a decrease was observed in the provisions of marine gasoil (-35.3%).
As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered a rise of 5.9% to 66,187 tonnes. The total sales of petroleum products in July 2026 compared to June 2026 recorded an increase of 13.3%.
Indicatively, a rise was recorded in the provisions of aviation kerosene (25.1%), as well as in the sales of road diesel (13.3%) and motor gasoline (10.4%) while the provisions of marine gasoil dropped by 25.9%.
During the period January – July 2026, the total sales of petroleum products increased by 1.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
