Cyprus and India share historical solidarity and shared principles, Kombos says

Cyprus and India are bound by a long-standing relationship rooted in mutual respect, historical solidarity, and shared principles, Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos said in a post on X, on the occasion of India's independence anniversary.

In his post, Kombos congratulated his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and the people of India "on the joyous occasion of 80th Independence Day."

"Today, Cyprus and India enjoy a relationship that is both principled and forward-looking. A relationship that spans political dialogue, economic cooperation, multilateral engagement, and a commitment to international law and peaceful coexistence," Kombos adds.
