In Cyprus, 34.1 per cent of individuals purchased tickets for events online in 2025 during the three months preceding the annual survey on the use of information and communication technologies by households and individuals.
According to data published by Eurostat, on Tuesday, Cyprus’s share was higher than the EU average, which stood at 26.8 per cent.
Among EU countries, the highest share was recorded in Ireland, where more than half of individuals had purchased tickets for events online during the previous three months. More specifically, the figure in Ireland reached 51.5per cent, followed by the Netherlands at 48.1 per cent and Denmark at 47.9 per cent.
By contrast, the lowest shares were recorded in Bulgaria at 11.4 per cent, Romania at 12.6 per cent and Italy at 14.2 per cent.
