Shipping Deputy Minister to pay state visit to India, accompanied by delegation

The Shipping Deputy Minister, Maria Hadjimanolis, held a meeting with India’s High Commissioner to Cyprus, Manish, to outline their shared commitment to building positive momentum in maritime cooperation under the existing bilateral Agreement on Merchant Shipping, the ministry announced on Tuesday.

According to the announcement, discussions focused on preparations for the Deputy Minister’s upcoming official visit to India, which will be accompanied by a Cypriot maritime business delegation. The visit aims to identify concrete opportunities for cooperation and strengthen partnerships between the maritime sectors of the two countries.

The two sides also exchanged views on advancing the implementation of the Bilateral Agreement on Merchant Shipping, including convening the first Cyprus–India Joint Maritime Committee, as well as enhancing business-to-business engagement across key maritime sectors.
