Cyprus is hosting one of the most important international meetings of the year on investments, economic cooperation and the formulation of common development strategies in the wider region of Europe and the Mediterranean on Monday, 15 June.
The EUROMED DAYS – Connecting Regions, Empowering Growth: Mediterranean-Europe Investment Partnerships for a Resilient Future Forum, organised by Invest Cyprus and ANIMA Investment Network at Landmark Nicosia, is expected to bring together institutional leaders, government officials, investment organizations, business entities and decision-makers from three continents.
The importance of the event is also reflected in its international participation. More than 60 international delegates and conference participants from Brussels, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Poland, Romania, San Jose, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria and Tunisia are expected to be in Nicosia, confirming the international character of the forum.
At a time when geopolitical developments, new trade balances and the challenges of the green and digital transitions are directly affecting the economies of Europe and the MENA region, EUROMED DAYS aspires to function as a space for meaningful dialogue and networking. The aim is to strengthen investment flows, develop new partnerships and create more resilient economic relations between the two regions.
The forum is taking place within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union and highlights Cyprus' role as a natural bridge between Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. It also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the ANIMA Investment Network, one of the most important organisations promoting economic cooperation in the Mediterranean.
Throughout the day, government officials, heads of investment organizations, representatives of international networks, mayors, innovation bodies and economic development experts will exchange views on investments, project financing, green growth, the digital economy and new forms of transnational cooperation.
Of particular interest is the fact that representatives of leading organisations from the European Union, the Mediterranean and the MENA region will be at the same table, creating the conditions for new collaborations and strategic synergies that may influence the investment landscape of the coming years.
With the participation of international organizations, investment bodies, business networks and government representatives from more than twenty countries, EUROMED DAYS is expected to be one of the most important economic dialogue platforms to be hosted in Cyprus this year, further strengthening the country's position on the map of international investment and regional cooperation.
