The National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) has announced that the European Central Bank has approved the appointment of Andreas Persianis as an Independent Non-Executive Member of the Bank's Board of Directors.
As noted in the Bank's announcement, Persianis has more than 30 years of international experience in financial markets, specialising in corporate strategy, banking and asset management. During his career, he has held senior management positions in international organisations, gaining extensive experience in strategic development, investments and corporate governance.
"National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) welcomes Mr. Persianis to its Board of Directors and expresses its confidence that his experience and expertise will contribute substantially to further strengthening the strategic course and long-term development of the Bank," the announcement said.
