European University Cyprus and Microsoft join forces to support Cypriot start-ups

The EUC Startup Programme powered by Microsoft returns for its 5th cycle, once again confirming the strong and dynamic partnership between  European University Cyprus (EUC) and Microsoft in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in Cyprus.

Organized by the School of Business at European University Cyprus, in collaboration with Microsoft and leading organizations from the Cypriot business ecosystem, the Programme aims to support six Cypriot start-ups through a structured combination of training, mentoring, networking opportunities, and access to Microsoft-related resources.

The Programme is designed to help mature start-ups in Cyprus strengthen their business models, accelerate growth, improve market readiness, and expand their network within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. It is intended for start-ups that have moved beyond the initial idea stage and are ready to scale within a supportive and highly dynamic environment.

Benefits for Participating Start-Ups

Selected start-ups will benefit from:

  • Specialized training in key areas of entrepreneurship and business development, tailored to the stage and needs of each start-up.
  • Personalized mentoring from industry experts, customized to each company’s specific development stage and objectives.
  • Networking opportunities with business professionals, investors, founders, venture capital representatives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Access to benefits offered through the Microsoft for Startups program, including initial guidance on exploring participation in the program, potential access to up to US$5,000 in Azure credits, expert advisory support, and targeted sessions on topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Security, Architecture Optimization, and Marketplace, always subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
  • Complimentary participation for all selected start-ups.

The Innovation Partners supporting the Programme are:

BSM Cyprus, CYTA, ERB CYPRUS INSURANCE HOLDINGS LTD, Eurobank, ExxonMobil, EY, Gnomi, GrantXpert Consulting, IMH, NetU, NewCyTech and Logicom. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) also supports the Programme.

  • May 2026 – Programme Announcement
  • 25 June 2026 – Application Deadline
  • 25 June 2026 – 30 June 2026 – Evaluation and Selection Process
  • 30 June 2026 – 30 November 2026 – Training and Mentoring Activities
  • December 2026 – Graduation Ceremony at European University Cyprus
