In a positive development for Cyprus, the US and UK have lowered their travel advisories to Level 1, the lowest risk category.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described this as a positive development for Cyprus’s image as a travel destination, adding that “this is reflected in the updated travel advisories issued by the United States of America and the United Kingdom.”
“The USA has decided to return Cyprus to the standard travel advisory level, Level 1, recommending normal precautions. This is the lowest travel advisory level,” it further states.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “at the same time, the United Kingdom has revised its advisory, maintaining Cyprus among destinations for which there is no recommendation to avoid travel, while also lowering the level of risk.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasises that “these developments reflect our country’s image as a safe and high-quality destination.”
