The Ministry stated that the locations were selected with the aim of achieving wider geographical coverage and serving key routes across Cyprus.

The stations support fast charging and offer multiple usage and payment methods, either through a mobile application or via card payment readers.

The total cost of the project amounted to approximately €918,000, including VAT and five years of maintenance.

The project is being implemented by the Electromechanical Services Department, which is responsible for the planning, coordination, and promotion of the installation of the stations.

At the same time, the Transport Ministry continues planning further expansion of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure network across Cyprus, with the goal of gradually strengthening electromobility and supporting cleaner and more sustainable transportation.
