The votes cast in the Parliamentary Elections have been counted with DISY emerging as the party with the most seats, with 17 seats having taken 27.1% of the vote. Closely following is AKEL, with 15 seats and 23.9% of the vote.
ELAM, DIKO, ALMA and AMESI DIMOKRATIA KYPROU have also won seats following the Parliamentary Elections.
More specefically, ELAM won 10.9% and eight seats, DIKO 10% and eight seats, ALMA 5.8% and four seats, and AMESI DIMOKRATIA KYPROU 5.4% and four seats.

Asked when the counting of the MPs' votes is expected to be completed, Chief Returning Officer Elikkos Elias said that around 2am, it was anticipated that the names of the 56 MPs would be known, adding, however, that the formalisation/finalisation of the elected MPs will require an additional period of time, which may be until 3am to 4am.
"We might have to go until 3 to 4 in the morning to formalise it," he noted.
