As noted in a relevant LinkedIn post by the company, "Leonid was appointed following the MACN Spring Members Meeting held in Athens on 29–30 April 2026, where members gathered for two days of collaboration, workshops, and governance decisions. His election was confirmed during the General Assembly by member vote, underscoring his leadership and commitment to integrity across the maritime industry."
"This milestone reflects our continued commitment to transparency, integrity, and responsible leadership in global shipping," the post concluded.
