Up to 568,587 voters expected to vote in the upcoming elections, Interior Ministry says

The number of citizens of the Republic of Cyprus who are registered on the electoral roll and have the right to vote in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections is 568,587, Ministry of Interior Affairs has announced, noting that the enclaved voters from Kyrenia and Famagusta Districts, who live in the areas that are not under the control by the Republic of Cyprus, will also be added to them.

This number includes 859 Turkish Cypriot voters, who obtained an identity card issued by the Republic of Cyprus and have a resident address in the areas controlled by the Republic.

According to data by district, the number of citizens registered on the electoral roll for Nicosia is 198,376, the number of voters in Limassol is 117,052, in Famagusta 116,345, in Larnaca 60,561, in Paphos 47,429 and 28,824 voters are voting for Kyrenia has 28,824.

Elections are set for 24 May. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 6pm.

Parliamentary elections take place every five years.
