CIM – Cyprus Business School and the University of West London (UWL) mark 15 years of partnership with a high-level anniversary event on Wednesday, 29 April, at the residence of the British High Commissioner in Nicosia, uniting key voices from academia, diplomacy, and business.
Leading figures from government, diplomacy, academia, and the scientific community will address the event. Among the speakers are Michael Tatham CMG, British High Commissioner to Cyprus; Dr. Suresh Gamlath, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of West London; Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist of the Republic of Cyprus; and Dr. Athena Michaelidou, Minister of Education, Sport and Youth. Their interventions will underscore the critical role of international collaboration in higher education, innovation, and strengthening the link between academia and the labour market.
A welcome address will also be delivered by the CEO of CIM – Cyprus Business School, Yangos Hadjiyannis.
The event will highlight the strong and consistent trajectory of CIM and UWL as strategic partners committed to advancing knowledge, quality, and the international outlook of education in Cyprus.
Bringing together alumni, partners, and business leaders, the event will further reinforce the strong relationships cultivated over the past 15 years.
A model partnership in higher education
Since its launch in 2011, the collaboration between the two institutions has become a leading example of successful engagement between Cypriot higher education and a British university. It has enabled hundreds of students to obtain recognised UK degrees, blending academic excellence with real-world business practice in a continuously evolving learning environment.
