RIF signs agreement over foundation's grant management digitalisation

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), on Tuesday announced it has sigined an agreement with NetU Consultants Ltd for the development and implementation of a new integrated grant management platform.

“Today’s agreement marks a significant milestone in a transformation process that began 3.5 years ago. After countless hours of hard work by our internal teams, as well as with the support of a specialised external consultant, we are now ready to move to the implementation phase,” said the RIF Director General, Theodoros Loukaides, adding that the organisation’s goal is to have the new system fully operational within nine months, in order to support the new programming period 2028–2034 in a timely manner.

The new platform will cover all stages of financing, from announcing calls to making payments to the ecosystem. It will also support expanded capabilities for developing operations and business flows with flexibility.

The aim of the project is to develop a modern and secure grant management system, which will substantially upgrade the quality and efficiency of funding processes, while offering a unified, friendly and seamless user experience for all stakeholders, including applicants, beneficiaries, evaluators and RIF staff.

NetU Group CEO, Demetris Nissiotis also expressed his satisfaction to have contributed RIF’s digitalisation. The platform’s implementation is a “decisive step towards upgrading the foundation and creating added value.

“The collaboration with NetU Consultants Ltd constitutes an important step towards further strengthening the RIF as a modern, efficient and fully digitalised organisation, which dynamically supports research and innovation in Cyprus,” the RIF concluded.
