President Christodoulides to meet with Egyptian President and TOTALEnergies CEO

President Nikos Christodoulides is visiting Egypt to meet with his counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, participate in the EGYPES 2026 conference and meet with TOTALEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné. 

EGYPES 2026 is a leading energy exhibition and conference in Egypt, North Africa and the Mediterranean, taking place from 30 March to 1 April.

According to a written statement by Director of the Press Office of the President of the Republic, Victor Papadopoulos, on the sidelines of EGYPES, which will be held at the Al Manara International Conference Center in Cairo, President Christodoulides will hold a bilateral meeting with President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, during which, among other things, they will discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The President of the Republic will then participate in the opening ceremony of the Conference and deliver an address.

Moreover, President Christodoulides will have a meeting with the CEO of TOTALEnergies Patrick Pouyanné.

Later on, President Christodoulides and President Sisi will go to the EGYPES 2026 exhibition area, where they will visit the Egyptian and Cypriot Pavilions, among others.

The President of the Republic will then depart for Cyprus.

President Christodoulides will be accompanied to Egypt by Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Michalis Damianos, the Director of the Press Office, the Director of the Presidential Diplomatic Office, Doros Venezis, and other officials.

It is noted that EGYPES brings together leaders of states and governments, investors and stakeholders in the energy sector to promote energy security and sustainable development.
