Cypriot start-up MyStudentFlat expands to Greece

Cypriot PropTech Start-up MyStudentFlat, the first dedicated digital Student Housing platform in the region, proudly announces the expansion of its operations in Greece, alongside its continuous growth in Nicosia and Limassol.

The first properties onboarded to the company’s portfolio in Greece are located in Athens, in areas with strong student presence such as Kypseli, Mouseio, and Ilissia, ensuring easy access to the capital’s major universities, convenient mobility for students, and immediate proximity to essential city services.

MyStudentFlat’s entry in Athens marks the first milestone of the company’s expansion into the Greek market, which represents one of the key pillars of its growth strategy.

MyStudentFlat platform enables students and their families to search, select, and instantly rent, modern, fully furnished and fully equipped apartments near the most sought-after universities, through a fully digital journey that includes property selection, e-signing of the lease agreement, and secure payment of both the rent and the deposit. Tenants also get access to the company’s exclusive Tenant App, which provides comprehensive 24/7 support, as well as a wide range of value-added services such as apartment cleaning, fully equipped linen and household packages, and all-inclusive rent options.

Since its establishment in 2025, the company has been steadily strengthening its presence in Cyprus, offering student flats for rent near the largest universities in Nicosia, whereas in January 2026 it also launched operations in Limassol. Due to its high level of service MyStudentFlat has succeeded to become a strategic partner of selected Cypriot universities, offering quality housing options to their students.

In a joint statement, the Co-Founders of MyStudentFlat Dimitris Economou and Elena Orfanidou said, "Athens is one of the largest student cities in Europe, and we believe it will grow even further in the coming years, particularly after the recent establishment of private universities in Greece. This is why our expansion in Greece begins here. Demand for reliable and high-quality student housing is extremely strong, while a large portion of the available housing stock does not meet the needs of modern students. Our goal is to offer a fully streamlined, high-quality student housing solution by combining state-of-the-art tech with our vision for a fully integrated housing experience, a model that we firstly introduced in Cyprus last year and are now bringing in Greece as well. At the same time, MyStudentFlat continues to invest in the development of its award-winning platform and services, with the aim to create a comprehensive ecosystem around student housing, that connects students, property owners, and real estate investors."

As part of its growth strategy, MyStudentFlat aims to further strengthen its presence in both Cyprus and Greece, offering premium student flats for rent, in cities with significant student density, such as Thessaloniki, Patra, Heraklion, Larissa, and Ioannina.

At the same time, the company is already studying its medium-term expansion into other European markets, with Italy and subsequently Spain as its first potential destinations.

To support the implementation of its business plan, MyStudentFlat will be launching its first Investors Funding Round (Seed Funding) in the spring, through a combination of a Crowdfunding Campaign & Strategic Investors entering the company.
