36 flights to and from Cyprus cancelled on Wednesday

The ongoing conflict in teh region has resulted in a total of 36 commercial flights in and out of Cyprus being cancelled on Wednesday, 11 March.

Thirty-two cancellations concerned flights in and out of Larnaka Airport and four were connected to Pafos airport.

Most of the cancellations concerned flights involving locations in the Middle East, including those connecting Larnaca with Israeli cities Tel Aviv and Haifa. Flights between Paphos and Tel Aviv and Haifa were also cancelled. Services to Doha and Beirut were cancelled even though Middle East Airlines’ services to and from Beirut remain operational.

British Airways’ evening flight from Larnaca to London Heathrow was cancelled, with the airline having only restored one of its two daily services on that route following a wave of cancellations upon the outbreak of the conflict.

Live arrival and departure information is available on Hermes Airports’ website.
