The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is participating in the 4 Years From Now (4YFN) 2026 event held within the framework of the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026 in Barcelona, together with eight innovative Cypriot companies, showcasing the dynamism and outward-looking orientation of Cyprus’ national innovation ecosystem.
In its press release, RIF notes that this year’s edition, under the central theme 'Infinite AI,' focuses on the substantive and practical application of Artificial Intelligence, emphasising solutions with tangible economic and social impact. Within this framework, Cypriot startups are presenting cutting-edge technologies in AI, robotics, agritech and digital applications.
The Cypriot delegation is led by the Director General of RIF, Theodoros Loucaides, joined by Members of the Board of Directors, Monica Ioannidou Polemitou and Andreas Andreou. During the exhibition, meetings are being held with investors, organisations and international stakeholders, aiming to foster strategic partnerships and attract investment interest.
According to RIF, the Cyprus booth hosts the following companies: IREROBOT LTD, Cocoon Creations, AgroVisioners, GridQ Ltd, GetCrew Ltd., RAVATAR, Freyia Labs and Mentormatic Solutions Limited, which are presenting their products and services to thousands of international visitors.
The Cyprus booth was also visited by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Nicodemos Damianou, reaffirming the Government’s strong commitment to advancing research, innovation and technological development.
"Cyprus’ participation in 4YFN forms part of RIF’s targeted actions to promote the national research and innovation ecosystem internationally, strengthen global networking opportunities for Cypriot enterprises, and create the conditions for sustainable growth through innovation," RIF notes.
