India–Cyprus Summit 2026: A dialogue on investment, innovation, and human capital

With only a few days left until the 'India–Cyprus Business & Investment Summit 2026: Transforming Tomorrow' taking place on 3 March at Hilton Nicosia, key partners are voicing strong optimism about the deepening economic ties between the two nations.

The Summit, organised by the High Commission of India, represents a crucial stepping stone ahead of President Christodoulides' historic visit to India in May 2026.

The event comes at a transformative moment in India-Cyprus relations, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's landmark visit to Cyprus in June 2025 – the first by an Indian Prime Minister in over two decades – and the subsequent adoption of the India-Cyprus Action Plan 2025-2029.

The High Commissioner of India noted with satisfaction the great traction that this event has gained in Cyprus, “Our event, true to its name, is Transforming Tomorrow – it is laying the ground for elevating India – Cyprus relations to the next level through the Summit and the B2B meetings. I am thankful to the Ministers from the Republic of Cyprus for agreeing to participate in the Summit and address the participants. I am also thankful to our partners in Cyprus and in India for bringing their best people and ideas to the Summit.”

President Stavros Stavrou of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed that, “Cyprus is well positioned to serve as a stable and competitive entry point for Indian enterprises into Europe, particularly in high-growth sectors such as innovation, shipping, energy, and services.”

According to Invest Cyprus, the investment promotion authority and Cyprus' Investment Government Partner for the Summit, the bilateral relationship offers unique strategic value for businesses from both nations. Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, noted: "The Summit is a key opportunity to strengthen India–Cyprus economic cooperation and unlock new avenues for investment. Cyprus offers Indian businesses a strategic, innovation‑driven gateway into Europe and beyond. Invest Cyprus stands ready to support meaningful partnerships that drive sustainable growth for both countries."

PwC Cyprus, a partner bringing its global expertise to the Summit, emphasized the strategic importance of the event for businesses navigating today's complex international environment. CEO, PwC Cyprus, Philippos Soseilos stated, “At PwC, we are ready to leverage our global expertise to help businesses navigate complex international environments and seize new opportunities with India. We look forward to challenging the status quo, fostering innovation, and driving success together at the Summit on 3 March at Hilton Nicosia."

Michalis Louis, CEO Eurobank Ltd, one of the platinum sponsors of the event said, “The India–Cyprus Business & Investment Summit reflects a shared strategic vision that goes well beyond bilateral cooperation. At a time when Indian enterprises are accelerating their international expansion, Cyprus offers stability, regulatory clarity and a deep understanding of cross-border business. Leveraging Eurobank Group’s international footprint, capital strength and long-standing expertise in supporting complex investment flows, we are committed to facilitating partnerships, trade and investment between India and Europe. Our presence in India, combined with Cyprus’s role as a trusted gateway, allows us to translate strategic intent into tangible opportunities for businesses, contributing to sustainable growth, innovation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders involved.”

Addressing one of the most critical enablers of business expansion, Dynamic Staffing Services – a leading international recruitment firm with 24 offices globally and 48 years of experience – is highlighting the Summit's focus on human capital and talent mobility.

Samir Khosla, Chairman of Dynamic Staffing Services, shared: “The India–Cyprus Summit rightly treats human capital as a strategic enabler of business expansion.
