As an organisation that is inextricably linked to technology and innovation, Cyta is well-placed to present the upcoming 2nd CBN Young Dragon Awards, the largest event celebrating entrepreneurship in Cyprus for the under-40s.
The countdown has begun, and the winners of the 2nd CBN Young Dragon Awards will be announced this Thursday, 19 February 2026 during a special ceremony at the Nicosia Municipal Theater. The public is invited to attend, so click here to request your complimentary invitation.
In the run-up to the Awards, Niki Ioannou, the Head of New Services Development at Cyta Business, talked to the camera about why the organisation is supporting young entrepreneurs in Cyprus through the event.
As Ioannou notes, Cyta has been investing in innovation, sustainability, and modern digital infrastructure for some time and shares a philosophy with the new generation of entrepreneurs: people who think digitally, move quickly, and seek solutions to grow their companies without limitations.
Cyta Business's portfolio offers them cutting-edge technologies and modern digital tools, allowing young businesspeople to realise their vision, expand their activities, and compete in an increasingly demanding environment, she says.
Ioannou also underlines that the CBN Young Dragon Awards do not assist Cyprus' entrepreneurship on the evening of the Awards alone but highlight and showcase the ideas, work, and true impact of the new generation in business in the longer term.
The Awards, she notes, offer what young entrepreneurship needs: recognition, visibility, self-confidence, and motivation to take the next step while showcasing role models for the new generation, sending the message that innovation, boldness, and extroversion can also be recognised and developed in Cyprus.
Ioannou also points out that the young entrepreneurs gaining attention through the Awards are characterised by technological maturity, speed of decision-making and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, never hesitating to experiment, to take risks, to innovate, to adopt modern strategies and make the most of technology.
She underlines that Cyta Business is proud to support this new generation, which places particular emphasis on reliability, quality of solutions and security, as they know that this is also required by the business world of today.
Ioannou also emphasises that it was the behaviour of these young entrepreneurs that raises the overall level of business in Cyprus, enhances innovation and sustainable development and is the driving force of the economy of tomorrow.
