Deputy Minister discusses protection of minors online with France's Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs

The Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou has had what he described as a "productive exchange" with the Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs of France, Anne Le Hénanff.

In a post on LinkedIn on 12 February, Damianou says, "Productive exchange yesterday with the Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs of France, Anne Le Hénanff. We discussed the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 and key issues of mutual interest within the broader European digital agenda, with particular emphasis on advancing the protection of minors online and identifying practical ways forward for the effective implementation of legislative measures and tools to enhance children’s online safety."

The Deputy Minister goes on to note that, "Continued close cooperation is key to advancing our shared objectives and delivering tangible progress on Europe’s digital future."

The meeting took place at Le Hénanff's offices in France.
