NYX Hotel Limassol continues its commitment to contemporary art and culture with the presentation of 'The Diverse Self: Becoming', a solo exhibition by Cypriot visual artist Fotini Michailidi. The exhibition is launching this Friday, 23 January 2026, at 7pm, in the hotel’s lobby.
Through figurative cubism, structured forms, bold shapes and blue as a dominant colour, Michailidi explores themes of identity, body awareness, courage and resilience. Her works reflect an ongoing dialogue around self-perception and lived experience, inviting viewers to engage with the idea of becoming rather than fixed identity.
In line with NYX Hotel Limassol’s commitment to social responsibility, a portion of the exhibition’s proceeds will be donated to the Myopathy Association of Cyprus (MDA Cyprus), supporting its work in advocating for and assisting people living with neuromuscular conditions.
The opening night this week on the 23rd of January will include a cocktail reception starting at 19:00, offering guests the opportunity to meet the artist and experience the exhibition in a relaxed, social setting.

About the artist
Born in Paphos, Michailidi studied Fine Arts at Middlesex University and holds an MA in Digital Art and Design from the University of Nicosia. She has participated in group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad and has served on the board of the Myopathy Association of Cyprus (MDA Cyprus) since 2023.
