The Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company, also known as Limassol Tourism Board, has announced that Andreas Tsouloftas , the current President of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), will take over as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors, following the unexpected death of Tony Antoniou.
Tsouloftas' assumption of the presidency comes at a particularly difficult time for the organisation. The late Tony Antoniou served the Limassol Tourism Board with dedication and consistency, leaving a significant imprint on its work and overall course, the organisation noted in its announcement.
Tsouloftas has extensive experience in the business and institutional sectors, as well as substantial knowledge of the needs and prospects of the local economy, the announcement continued. His goal is to continue and further strengthen the work of Limassol Tourism Board, with an emphasis on sustainable tourism development, cooperation with all local stakeholders and strengthening the international visibility of Limassol.
During the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Limassol Tourism Board, which took place on 21 January 2026 under Tsouloftas' chairmanship, the main axes for continuing the organisation's work were determined, with an emphasis on close cooperation and collective effort with the municipalities, bodies and businesses in the tourism sector to promote and upgrade the tourism product of Limassol, which is characterised by its uniqueness and diversity, with the aim of further strengthening the tourism development of the district, the announcement concluded.
