The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry has issued a statement reminding the public that the deadline for submitting an application under the 'Scheme for the Production of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources for Own Consumption' (April 2024) is tomorrow, Wednesday, 31 December, 2025.
From 1 January 2026, the new self-consumption systems will be activated in accordance with the provisions of Regulatory Decision 02/2024 (R.D.P 376/2024) entitled 'Regulatory Framework for the Activation of Active Customers and Self-Consumers of Energy from Renewable Sources'. A relevant explanatory announcement was issued by the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) on 5 September 2025.
