A new boutique hotel, in the heart of old Nicosia, within the capital’s medieval walls, is getting ready to open its doors.
The architectural firm Fissentzides Architects, which undertook the renovation of the listed building and its conversion into boutique hotel suites, has published photos of its new project, 17 Arches Boutique Hotel Suites.
The once abandoned and dilapidated building is being transformed into a fully renewed, landmark architectural proposal, featuring a total of 17 hidden stone arches that are being brought back to life within a small boutique hotel.
Nicosia’s new hotel consists of four large historic suites of 45 sq.m., one modern garden suite of 40 sq.m., an outdoor swimming pool, and an arcade pergola garden, all surrounded by traditional ceramics and local vegetation.
The building, which had been abandoned for many years and had essentially vanished from the city, will be restored and turned into an elegant hotel thanks to the meticulous work of Fissentzides Architects, who designed the renovation plan while preserving the building’s original character and historical features.
The 17 arches have become the project’s main architectural and decorative element. Every interior detail has been carefully designed to retain the spirit of old Nicosia, while also providing guests with comfort that meets contemporary standards of high-quality hospitality.
The capital’s newest hotel addition will feature spacious, uniquely decorated design suites. Guests will be able to choose rooms with distinctive original architectural elements, or more contemporary options that emphasize natural light and close access to the inner courtyard garden.
