Areti Papadopoulou on the strategic transformation of the supply chain

The modern supply chain is rapidly becoming a central pillar of business strategy.

As market complexity intensifies, demand becomes more unpredictable, and geopolitical shifts create new challenges, companies are increasingly moving beyond traditional planning models. Today’s environment calls for integrated, agile, and resilient operating systems that enable accurate forecasting, precise inventory management, and faster responses to customer needs.

Strengthening the link between commercial management and strategic supply chain planning is now a crucial element of competitiveness. It allows organisations to anticipate market behaviour, optimise resources, and better align their operations with evolving customer expectations.

Within this framework, at the 19th Supply Chain & Logistics EXPO, taking place on 4–5 February at the Pavilion Hall in Nicosia, Areti Papadopoulou, Group Supply Chain Director at Chitos S.A., part of the Green Beverages Group, will deliver a presentation titled Strategic Supply Chain Planning and Commercial Management.” Her session will illustrate how modern supply chain leadership can transform complexity into strategic value.

Papadopoulou will highlight the role of robust S&OP processes, the importance of synchronising demand and supply, and the need for alignment between commercial priorities and operational execution.

A Track Record of Success

With more than fifteen years of experience in supply chain management, Papadopoulou has led high-impact transformation projects across multinational and multichannel organisations. Her work includes demand and supply planning initiatives, distribution network optimisation, warehouse management improvements, and the development of customer service performance metrics.

Her academic background in production engineering, logistics, and business administration—combined with international APICS and process excellence certifications—equips her to design strategies that balance cost efficiency, service quality, operational speed, and sustainability.

A core part of her approach is the integration of advanced digital tools. Leveraging SAP ERP, Business Intelligence platforms, WMS systems and modern analytics solutions, she has contributed to more transparent and data-driven decision-making processes. Her focus on resilience and sustainability further strengthens organizational capacity to navigate disruptions while maintaining high service levels.
