COSMOS SA and CBS IT SYSTEMS CYPRUS are undertaking the digital transformation of Cyprus Post

The Department of Postal Services (DPS) and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy have briefed the press on the progress of the digital transformation of Cyprus' postal services, Cyprus Post.

The briefing was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Nicodemos Damianou, and the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeades.

The focus was on the Counter Automation System (CAS), a €2.2 million project implemented by the  COSMOS SA - CBS IT Systems Cyprus (a subsidiary of Cosmos Business Systems) consortium. CAS unifies all postal processes and automates transactions, sales, inventory and accounting data, reducing bureaucracy and improving speed and transparency in serving the citizen.

The project includes the necessary modern equipment and and integrated information system that simplifies the work of postal workers and increases productivity.

During the press briefing, the ePost digital platform (epost.cypruspost.gov.cy) was also presented live, demonstrating how it allows citizens to easily and digitally manage all their postal transactions, enhancing immediate and quality service.

COSMOS Group, in addition to this specific project, has already implemented and put into operation additional solutions for Cyprus Post, such as Parcel24 boxes, advanced automatic sorting systems with OCR that reduce delivery time and upgraded high-capacity envelope sorting machines.
