Almost a year after his departure from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he served for over 38 years, including the final 12 as Secretary General, Marios Tsiakkis has moved on to his new professional step, assuming the duties of Non Executive Director at Baker Tilly South East Europe.
Tsiakkis announced the news through his personal account on Linkedin.
It is noted that Marios Tsiakkis studied Business Administration at the American University of Beirut, from where he graduated in 1982. Between 1982-1986 he worked as a Research Executive at MEMRB in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the field of market research.
In 1986 he was hired at the CCCI and, from 1 January 2013 until 31 December 2024, he held the position of Secretary General there.
Tsakkis has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) and the Independent Certification Council (ICC) of Cyprus Certification Company.
He has written many articles and publications and has given several presentations and interviews regarding Cyprus at various seminars abroad.
