Green Dot Cyprus once again participated in the 7th Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon, the country’s first green marathon, with great success.
With Green Dot Cyprus' contribution, PMD recycling bins were placed along the marathon routes, making it easier to collect the plastic bottles offered to the runners. The organisation’s 15-member team, driven by its passion for the environment, managed to collect and recycle a new record for this year: 2,380 kg of packaging waste / 52,000 bottles and cans.
"For yet another year, the excellent cooperation between Green Dot, the Larnaca Marathon organisers, and the local authorities proved that sports and the environment are deeply interconnected," a press release said, adding, "Green Dot expresses its gratitude to the organisers and all participants for their collaboration. Together with them, it contributes to creating a cleaner and greener tomorrow."
