George Chrysochos, Executive Director of Cyfield Group, the construction and real estate group, shares his inspiring journey that took him across the Atlantic and back to Cyprus, where he has guided his company through hurdles faced by the financial crisis to the successful economic times of today.
“Back in 2018, I decided to come back to Cyprus and the family business, as I felt it was the right time to restart the business and the economy after the crisis,” he said, speaking as part of the Trailblazers Podcast series by payabl. at the recent INSPIRE 2025 entrepreneurial festival
He said that after the crisis, the company began to rise and he felt a duty to come back and help the Cypriot economy grow again.
Describing his successful management and leadership skills, Chrysochos added that it is important to give the employees responsibilities and incentives.
“You need to have a team around you, which feels that part of what they are doing is owned by them,” he said.
