The Group CEO of Limassol-based international online payments company payabl., Ugne Buraciene, has shared her insights on scaling an international company from Cyprus, while also remaining inspiring to her team in both challenging and rewarding times.
As part of the Trailblazers Podcast series by payabl. at the recent INSPIRE 2025 entrepreneurial festival, Buraciene delved into the strategy she follows to keep her team motivated, by always trying to remain transparent, fair and reliable, which she noted are important qualities to have when working with people or leading a team.
“I really enjoy working with the people and the team that I have, and I think it is really important to rely on your teams to do things and set the vision,” she said.
Asked about being a woman in a not very diverse field, Buraciene said that she doesn’t focus on the labels, but rather keeps her focus on leading her team with a clear direction, adding that she finds it to be an advantage to be the only female in the room sometimes.
